Tena koutou katoa!
Room 7 have been doing an excellent job of tuning for their home learning. For every day we're in Level 3, we have a morning check-in video call at 9.30am and a check-out call at 2.30pm.
The check-in is our chance to switch on mentally and gives us enough time in the morning to make sure we're out of bed, had breakfast, done our chores - basically anything that we would normally do before school. It's also a great way to stay socially connected with each other at this time.
The check-out gives us all a chance to meet again, share our achievements, challenges and have a bit of a laugh. It's also a good opportunity for us to "clock off" after a hard working day of home learning.
We try to end each video call with a fun game. So far, we've played Kahoot!, Bus Stop and challenged each other with our basic facts playing Ace King Queen Jack. If you've got some suggestions for us, we'd really like to hear from you.

ReplyDeleteI love Kahoot and would like to do more with my class. Random thought, how cool would be if one day we could get our classes challenging each other on a Kahoot?
